Radisson BLU: Catering for business and wildlife adventures

Situation

The Radisson BLU Nairobi, located in Upper Hill, is at the heart of Nairobi’s fast growing business district and a short drive from Nairobi National Park. As such, the hotel welcomes a variety of business and leisure guests all of whom expect the highest standards of comfort and convenience. Carlson Rezidor hotel group enlisted the help of LWA as they set out to establish Radisson BLU as the leading upper-upscale hotel brand in African capital cities and economic hubs.

Outcome

LWA’s design creates a leading hotel experience for all guests, whatever their reason for staying at the Radisson BLU Nairobi. The Standard Rooms are styled in an Urban theme, befitting of the hotel’s city setting. Whereas Superior Rooms boast a stylish New York Mansion design theme that provide added touches of luxury. All rooms offer a desk for those needing to work and amazing, wide views of the Nairobi cityscape or Nairobi National Park for all to enjoy.

The hotel’s elegant meeting rooms, designed by LWA, are both state-of-the-art and highly flexible. It is vital that these spaces can be adapted to meet the specific requirements of guests, and so rooms can be divided or combined, as necessary. The stunning Mount Kilimanjaro Ballroom can accommodate up to 700 guests and is a hugely impressive venue for receptions.

Guests wishing to enjoy a meal have the option of the lively outdoor grill restaurant, with its entertaining open kitchen; or a more intimately designed Larder restaurant. Business successes and family celebrations can be toasted in either of the two bars within the hotel which offer guests stunning views from an extremely stylish, plush setting.
